I will assess the property, building structure and foundation in order to provide a written comprehensive estimate to address the issues you have. I will consult with you so you so I have a good understanding of the history and your concerns and will explain my concerns, the causes of the problems you have, the solutions to the problems and the costs involved to affect the required repairs. We will also examine your soil conditions and advise you of methods and solutions to reduce or prevent future shifting. Then you’ll know all that is involved to fix you cottage foundation.
If you are located in a remote area too far away for me to visit in a timely manner, or during the off season, I will ask you for photos and present you with a few questions. From that information I can provide you with an estimate in timelier manner any time of the year.
I prefer to have most communication by email. This allows me to keep track of our conversations, the details of your project, and the progress we are making towards the work you wish to have done. I work with so many people it is not realistic that I could keep proper track of and retain all verbal conversations and details.
